We'll also discuss techniques for infusing your ingredients with cannabis oil or butter and tips on creating delicious recipes that will make your taste buds sing. Finally, we'll share some of our favorite cannabis-infused recipes that you can try at home.

What is decarboxylation?

Decarboxylation is an essential step in cannabis home cooking. It is the process of converting the non-psychoactive THCA found in cannabis into the psychoactive THC needed for edibles to have an effect. Decarboxylation can be done in a variety of ways, including baking, boiling, and even microwaving. By understanding and applying decarboxylation correctly, you can ensure that your cannabis-infused recipes are as potent as possible.

Cooking with CannaButter

Canna butter can be used in a variety of recipes, from baked goods to savory dishes. With just a few simple steps, you can make your own canna butter at home with ease. Let’s discuss the directions for making canna butter and how you can use it in your own cooking.

Everything you need to make cannabutter:

  • One non-stick Baking Sheet

  • Strainer or Cheesecloth

  • Stovetop Pot

  • Oven

  • 7 grams of cannabis flower (grinded)

  • 8oz (1 cup) of unsalted butter

  • 8oz (1 cup) of  water

  • One Storage Container

Directions:

  1. Decarb your cannabis flower

Step One: Grab your 7 grams of grinded high quality cannabis that you picked up from Herban Kulture.

Step Two: Heat your oven to 245 Degrees Fahrenheit. However, if your oven is less than three years old, then pre-heat it to 230 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Step Three: Spread your ground up cannabis on a non-stick baking sheet, or set parchment paper down to ensure that the cannabis won’t stick.

Step Four: Bake for 30 minutes and stir every 5 minutes to make sure the cannabis is evenly decarbed.

After your cannabis has been decarbed, it’s time to steep!

  1. Steep on your Stove

Step One: Grab your 1 cup of butter and melt on low heat in the saucepan and add the one cup of water to help melt the butter evenly.

Step Two: Once the butter and water is melted, time to add your decarbed weed. Slowly add the baked cannabis into the spot. Stir it up and then cover with a lid to let it simmer.  Let it simmer for at-least for three hours and stir occasionally to avoid burning.

Once the three hours have passed it’s time to strain your butter!

  1. Strain your butter

    1. Step One: Grab your strainer or place your cheesecloth over a jar with a rubber brand.

    2. Step Two: Slowly pour butter mixture from pan over strainer, or the cheesecloth to separate the butter from the plant remains.

    3. Step Three: Once the butter is strained into a storage container, or jar, allow it to set at room temperature for 30 minutes. Once the 30 minutes passes, transfer it to the fridge and allow it to set overnight.

Now that the 24 hours have passed, your butter is ready to use for cooking.

*Also note that if you keep your canna-butter in the fridge, it can last up to 4 weeks!
